SMB Harwal's History
SMB had for some years been looking for an appropriate manufacturer of LV switchboards to acquire in Australia as part of their long term regional expansion plans.
In May 2005 the assets of Harwal Electrical Industries Pty Ltd were acquired by SMB United Limited. This new company is now known as SMB Harwal Electric Pty Ltd.
Harwal Electrical Industries Pty Ltd was one of Australia's foremost manufacturers of Low Voltage Electrical Switchboards, with a strong history of research and development. Harwal's products have been the subject of numerous patents, registered designs and been awarded with the prestigious Australian Design Mark.
Harwal Electrical Industries was very successful throughout the Australian domestic market and export markets such as Hong Kong, the Middle East, Africa, Singapore, Vietnam, The Philippines, Indonesia, Cambodia, China, Laos, PNG, Kazakhstan and the Pacific Islands.
